INMAQS Workshop

Description

Join us to talk Physics in the heart of Iceland’s Golden Circle.

This event will be the final large INMAQS meeting before the UK research council funding runs out in the beginning of 2025. The remote locations in mountainous areas have been a success for previous meetings, so this time the meeting will be in the southwest of Iceland, approximately 70 km east of Reykjavik. This is in the heart of Iceland’s Golden Circle so in addition to talking physics we will have a chance to network and community build while exploring some of the unusual scenery that Iceland has to offer. The dates for the meeting will be 7th - 10th of October 2024 and the format will be broad range of talks from the network as well as a number of invited speakers.

Programme

Programme is in preparation and will consist of a number of invited and contributed presentations. An afternoon excursion is planned to include Geysir and Gullfoss.

Registration

Attendance at the meeting will be by invitation only.
Similar to previous meetings, INMAQS will cover the costs associated with the conference, accommodation and subsistence. There will be a registration fee of £400 to attend the meeting, however, members of INMAQS are eligible for a reasonable reimbursement of travel costs conditional upon agreement to contribute to a selection of papers from INMAQS to be published as a special issue of a journal.
