Detailed Description

Cathrine is an experienced journalist and oral historian who has worked on numerous community projects including an oral history book based on interviews during the Covid pandemic in Norway, and a large oral history project including 400 interviews done by the citizens of Oslo, called Oslove. She is also currently working on a book on the development of oral history in the Nordic countries.

Video is widely recognised as a dynamic and engaging medium. This workshop will offer practical advice for filming your interviews for research and public engagement. It will include setting up your location, lighting, sound, and equipment. We will also discuss the interview itself, how to make space for listening and create open questions to prompt even more open answers.
