Space Cybersecurity Executive Course

This is an Executive level Space Cybersecurity course which was first held in May 2023. This course will include postgraduate level micro credentials and is delivered in collaboration with the International Space University. 

As private space ventures surge ahead, the need for robust cybersecurity in space technology becomes increasingly crucial. This intensive three-day course, hosted in Scotland, in collaboration with the International Space University (ISU) and Space Comm Expo-Scotland. The program is designed to train participants in identifying and specializing in the cybersecurity technologies pivotal to the commercial space sector. Participants will gain insights into global space industry trends with a focus on securing space operations and assets.

This program is tailored for executives, venture capitalists and company representatives keen to explore and secure their foothold in the burgeoning commercial space sector.

The 3-day executive course will cover:

• An overview of the Space Sector and Cyber Security in Space
• Satellite Building and programming overview
• Understanding threats, vulnerabilities, detection and response
• Emerging Space Technology, policy, law/regulation and compliance (with a cyber-security focus)
• International co-operation, space diplomacy and geo-political context
• Entrepreneurship in Space and opportunities in space cyber
• Simulation and decision-making exercise
• Day 3 at Space Comm Expo Scotland, including a presentation of Simulation & Decision-Making exercise outcomes to Conference attendees.
