SSHM Wellcome-funded Mid-Career Writing Retreat

Mid-career scholars are often neglected by mentoring at this time in their career and are overwhelmed with the responsibilities of teaching, administration, reviewing and references. This writing retreat will offer ‘breathing space’ to focus on writing, and to receive mentoring on writing book proposals and grant applications.

The nearest railway station is Balloch, and we will provide transport from there to the University of Strathclyde’s Ross Priory, on the banks of Loch Lomond. Thanks to Wellcome the cost for accommodation is covered and there will only be a £50 registration fee for this catered event. Our funds are limited; please do try to seek funding for travel from your institution for this generously-funded event.
