Play Beyond P1: A Deep Dive

This online twilight session will explore the intent, implementation & impact of play-based pedagogy at Early, First & Second Level. The ‘12 R model’ of pedagogical leadership will be used as a scaffold to combine the theory & practice of optimal playful environments, whilst providing participants with a ‘7 Steps to Success’ takeaway to inspire changes within their own setting. The provision will include a refresher on Deirdre & Charlotte’s ‘A-G of Playful Planning’ approach & a guest input from James Cook, Head of Cawdor Primary, detailing his whole-school approach to high-quality play.
