Description

This two day course will cover the practical and theoretical components of clinical gait analysis.  It will include a revision of the gait cycle, the mechanics of gait (joint angles, movements and powers), a discussion on the theories of gait (why we walk the way we do) and an introduction to gait abnormalities.  We will spend time in the gait lab looking at different methods of measuring gait.  This will include simple methods such as video analysis as well as high-tech systems.  We will also look at new technologies and explore new ways to provide feedback for gait training.

There is NO EXPECTATION of existing knowledge of biomechanics or gait analysis.

The course will be delivered over two days but you can choose to attend one or both.

Date for the second day (TBA).
